Carpet grading schemes are used to determine carpet performance. Based on the results of more than 20 independent technical tests, including durability, colour fastness and appearance retention, the carpet is categorised as medium duty, heavy duty or extra heavy duty. This classification will give you an idea of how the carpet will wear on your floor. 

It depends on where the carpet will be installed. Here are some general guidelines: 

• Medium Duty: This grade is suitable for areas that aren’t subject to high traffic, such as living rooms for small families, bedrooms, studies, etc. 

• Heavy Duty: This grade is good for hallways, living rooms and anywhere with a heavy flow of household traffic. 

• Extra Heavy Duty: This grade is ideal for busy living areas, hallways and even some commercial offices and shops.

• Wool resists soiling and it is easy to clean as it naturally keeps the soil loose in the pile of the carpet which makes vacuuming so much easier

• Wool is safe, naturally frame retardant and will no melt
